One of the few Licensed Short-Term Vacation Rentals on the Windward side of Oahu, this three bedroom, three bath home with large swimming pool sits on .9 acres of Kailua Beachfront. The home has been recently refurbished with new furnishings, fixtures, appliances, linen and accessories making it clean, comfortable and refreshed. A beautiful, ocean front lawn separates the home from the ocean, offering quiet and privacy. Two miles of white sandy beach front the home - an ideal spot for swimming, bodysurfing, paddling and kite surfing.

The spacious rooms offer a flexible bedding arrangement that will appeal to groups of various sizes and makeup.

The Bedroom configurations are as follows:
Bedroom 1- (Primary) King Bed and Queen Sleeper Sofa split a/c, en-suite bathroom with walk in shower (Sleeps 2-4)

Bedroom 2 - Queen bed, split a/c, en-suite bathroom, shower (Sleeps 2)

Bedroom 3 - Two Queen Beds and Twin sized Bunk Beds, split a/c, en-suite bathroom, shower (Sleeps 4-6)

This classic Kailua beachfront home is located on the Windward side of Oahu, 30 minutes from Honolulu and approximately 1 mile from the center of Kailua Town where guests will enjoy a variety of family-friendly restaurants, grocery and boutique shops. Cool, ocean breezes keep the home comfortable throughout the year. Newly installed air conditioning "split" systems have been added to all the bedrooms for extra evening comfort on those hot summer nights.

This property is professionally managed by Private Homes Hawaii, LLC and is licensed as a short term vacation rental, Non-Conforming Use Permit Number 90/TVU-0142 and is compliant with Hawaii State Legislation (HB2078) for vacation rental accommodations,

  This was a setting we will never forget. Its location right in the middle of Kailua beach was perfection. Is it possible to fall in love with a tree? Whether providing contrast to the sea, sand and sky or shelter from the sun we marveled at its beauty. The house itself I would characterize as casual, comfortable luxury. Nothing pretentious or too precious. The kitchen was well outfitted with all the appliances and accessories you could ask for. A lovely basket of local goodies greeted us along with a very clean and well maintained home. Our family enjoyed long walks on the beach, bocce on the lawn, boogie boarding right outside our door, nearby hikes, eating at local food carts and restaurants. If you’re looking for a more authentic Hawaiian vacation away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, this is your place.

  We spent 8 nights in this beautiful home. It is spacious, well laid out, and immaculate - even the door runners were dust free! The bathrooms are modern with huge showers! The house is super comfortable with all the rooms delightfully furnished and well supplied. The online description was totally accurate.
  The pool was very enjoyable and refreshing after walking along world famous Kailua Beach or sightseeing around the island.
  The management team were very responsive from beginning to end. Patty was great at teaching us how to operate the TV!
  The location is in close proximity to Kailua town with all its restaurants and coffee shops. Times Supermarket is a treasure trove for shopping.
  We are already planning our next trip to Kailua and will definitely stay at Gigi's Retreat again.

  The pictures say it all: the yard and beach access can't be beat. Loved sleeping in a very comfy bed with the windows open to the sound of the surf, then getting up at dawn for walks on the beach for the scenic sunrise and the brightest double rainbow I've ever seen.
  
  Inside, the house is very spacious, and the kitchen has high end pots and pans, an induction stove, a Vitamix blender, a Zojirushi rice cooker.... Only nit was that the washer had mildew, which is not a surprising for a front-loader used by renters in humid area. However, the sheets etc. must have been washed elsewhere because they had no mildew smell.

To answer your question about the linen - yes, though washer/dryer is provided on site, we have all bedding for our guests, professionally laundered and pressed at a commercial facility.   We happened upon this place by luck. Stayed for 4 nights and decided we HAD to come back. We did, 7 days later with the whole family. We stayed for 10 proper days and are now counting and contemplating how soon we can return. It's THAT wonderful. The pictures are great - but don't come close to telling the WHOLE story. It must be experienced. You will wont for nothing. It's ALL here. I'm pretty sure we were all teary eyed as we left for the airport. Our new BEST PLACE EVER.

  This was the absolutely perfect place for our family. There was something for everyone from the pool and beach for the kids and big kids to quiet puzzles and relaxing reading spaces for the older adults. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. The water toys that were provided, the huge lawn and beautiful uncrowded beach made the kids so happy. We bbq’d often, sat on the lanai for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed the trade winds in the main living area via the telescoping sliding doors. Nearby Kailua town was perfect for grocery shopping and grabbing takeout. Patty responded quickly with questions I had. My parents left saying that this was the best vacation they’ve ever taken. Mahalo!

  We recently stayed at this beautiful home with our 6 and 9 year old boys, and my elderly parents. This home was great for our family. We loved the location and the nano doors throughout. Beautiful yard, and great beach. There is only one TV in the home, it’s not a smart TV, only basic cable. This is not a huge problem, but we had a lot of rain so we were inside a bit. We
  would have loved one more TV in the guest room for our kiddos so the adults could watch the news or a movie. Streaming services would have been nice, for a 7 night stay with a lot of rain. Overall the home is beautiful, great location, clean, and just what you need for a nice stay.

  The location of the house is great. We took our coffee mugs down to the beach every morning to enjoy the sunrise. The general store/deli and the best shave ice on the island are just a 15-20 minute walk away, and for bigger shopping trips Kailua town is a 5-minute drive away. The pool was great for the days when we wanted a change from the beach, and the house was well-equipped.
